In preparation we thought that we would let you know that the June 6th service will be in two parts.
1. The Service 2:00 – 3:30pm
2. The Celebration 3:30 – 5:30pm
During the celebration there will be opportunity for friends and family to share a song, a story or make a toast.
The stage will be readied with 2 vocal mics, 2 acoustic guitars and a keyboard.
If you know you would like to share a song, etc, please send a note to NanaimoMusic@gmail.com with “Jerry” in the subject line just to give us a head’s up.

We were so sad to hear about your loss. He is truly irreplaceable and will be missed even by those whose lives he touched only briefly…like us.
The last time we were able to spend time with Jerry and all of you was when we visited a couple of summers ago. One of those great moments in life that come too rarely. I cannot express to you how great that visit was and of course Jerry made it so much fun!
Ken and I first met Jerry when we came to Duncan for Sandy’s wedding so many years ago and he won us over immediately with his personality, fun loving ways, and of course his guitar playing.

For all those attending Jerry’s service & celebration tomorrow, Jerry’s brother Roger and I met with Susan and Lucas today and we thought it would be nice if the guys showed up wearing the Raincoast uniform. “plain black T-shirt and blue jeans” …the ladies of course are welcome to wear the Black & Blue as well.

We were so honoured to be at Jerry’s memorial on Sunday.
The words, the music, the pictures and the vibe – wow! Very emotional of course, but for us, very joyful. A great celebration of a great guy and a great life.
Susan, you and Lucas and Alyse did so well. Straight from the heart. Beautiful smiles.
And Jerry’s brothers were wonderful. What stories and memories.
Shelley, it was great to see you finally. Hope to meet you sometime.
Gary sang so beautifully. Big lump in his throat for sure.
We had to catch a ferry so we left at 3:30 pm. I heard from Gary that the rest of the afternoon was great as well.
Now we have to learn how to live without our old friend. But, he is just in another room sitting in a big easy chair, right?
Love and hugs to all,
John and Tawny
